History
FMF Pandion was founded in 2015 by Tommy Wells after almost twenty years of working in the environmental consulting industry both nationally and internationally.
What does FMF Pandion mean?
FMF
Unofficially stands for “For My Family”. This endeavor is primarily driven by a desire to be able to be the best provider possible to Tommy’s two beautiful daughters. FMF Pandion was founded as a family business and this will guide it and remain its guiding principle. This unofficial acronym also pays a secondary tribute to Tommy’s time in the Marine Corps as part of the “Fleet Marine Force”.
Pandion
Is the genus of the Osprey (Pandion Haliaetus). The Osprey is a bird which almost exclusively spends its time near water. While FMF Pandion performs projects not directly associated with water, its roots will always be in the streams and estuaries of California.
